Giorgia Meloni's government has unveiled plans to cap the share of pupils who are not Italian citizens at 30 percent per classroom, against a current national average of 11.6 percent, alongside a ban on full-face coverings in schools and a requirement that parents of children with serious integration difficulties take Italian lessons. 'If these children are many, or even the majority, that's not integration anymore, that's abandonment,' Meloni said at a gathering of her party's youth wing.
