Russian strikes kill 8 in Ukraine, drones cross into Romania and Moldova

Russian drone and missile attacks killed at least eight civilians in Ukraine overnight Thursday, six farm workers in the Kharkiv region and two people in Kyiv, while Odesa reported heavy bombardment, the AP reported. A drone crossed into Romanian airspace for four minutes before crashing near the border, prompting Romanian and Spanish fighter jets to scramble, and Moldova closed part of its northern airspace after repeated incursions. President Zelensky told the UN that countries should 'starve Russia of revenue' through sanctions and trade bans, while Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Moscow was 'seeking peace, not a temporary truce.'
