Türkiye jails 20 more in widening Süleymanlılar investigation

A Turkish court ordered 20 of 25 newly detained suspects held pending trial on Thursday in the widening investigation into the Süleymanlılar religious community and businesses linked to its jailed leader, Alihan Kuriş, prosecutors said. Five were released under judicial supervision. Prosecutors accuse people and companies tied to Kuriş of moving and disguising assets believed to come from criminal activity; the case had already sent 32 people to pretrial detention by August, before a further 29 detention warrants were issued on 21 September.
