Sweden joins NATO's annual nuclear exercise Steadfast Noon

Sweden is taking part, as it did last year, with a Gripen aircraft and staff officers in NATO's annual nuclear exercise Steadfast Noon, running 12 to 24 October in Italy with 17 participating nations; NATO says no live nuclear weapons are involved. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson and Defence Minister Pål Jonson defend the participation as a contribution to alliance security.
