Sweden to send Patriot air defence system to Poland in support of Ukraine

Sweden will deploy a Patriot air defence battery and about 100 troops to Rzeszow, Poland, from early December, taking over from the Netherlands at a logistics hub supporting Ukraine. Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard said the deployment aims to help protect military and civilian support for Ukraine, extending Sweden's contribution alongside its Gripen jets in NATO air policing.
