Sweden's right-wing bloc takes its first poll lead since 2022 amid coalition deadlock

A new Ipsos poll for Dagens Nyheter puts Ulf Kristersson's right-wing bloc, driven by gains for the Moderates and the Sweden Democrats, nearly four percentage points ahead of the left-wing parties, the first lead for the right since October 2022. The poll, taken October 13 to 25, lands more than a month after the September election left the Riksdag without a government, and pollster Nicklas Källebring called it “a warning sign for the red-greens if a snap election were to be called”.
