Second wave of Istanbul citizenship-fraud probe puts 30 firms under trustees

Police detained 72 suspects in Istanbul and courts assigned trustees to 30 companies in a second wave of an investigation into sham property sales used to obtain Turkish citizenship. Prosecutors found 274 of 734 examined sales collusive, worth more than 3.5 billion lira, and moved to strip citizenship from roughly 1,070 people.
