Türkiye proposes Black Sea deal to protect civilian shipping

Ankara has sent Moscow and Kyiv a draft memorandum to halt drone and missile attacks on civilian vessels, modelled on the 2022 grain corridor. At least 25 Turkish-owned ships have been struck since late June. A Turkish diplomat said the plan closes the gap in the old corridor where ships had to leave national waters, which is where the risk lay.
