Erdoğan in South Korea this week for first visit in eight years

President Erdoğan is visiting Seoul from 1 to 4 November at the invitation of President Lee Jae-myung, his first visit to South Korea in eight years. The two leaders are expected to sign agreements on nuclear energy, semiconductors and defence, including Türkiye's Altay tank programme; bilateral trade between the two countries reached 11.4 billion dollars in 2025.
