Sweden's election race narrows to its tightest gap in three years, a week before the vote

Demoskop's latest barometer, published September 3 from polling taken August 25 to September 1, put the opposition's lead over Ulf Kristersson's government at just 3.3 percentage points, its narrowest margin since August 2023. The Social Democrats fell sharply while the Sweden Democrats gained, though the four-party opposition still leads with the September 13 election a week away.
