Erdoğan hosts Austria's chancellor as Vienna weighs Turkish drones

Christian Stocker arrived in Ankara on Aug. 10 at Erdoğan's invitation. Communications Director Burhanettin Duran said the talks would cover all aspects of the two countries' relations and an exchange of views on regional and global developments. Turkish media report that Vienna's interest in acquiring drones is on the agenda; Austria's parliament voted in 2016, with the support of all six parties then represented, to halt arms exports to Türkiye.
