Fidan calls Israeli attacks in southern Syria one of the biggest threats to Syria's stability

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan told a press conference in Ankara on August 6, alongside Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani, that attacks on Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity are among the greatest threats to the country's stability. He urged the international community to press the Netanyahu government for full implementation of the 1974 de-confliction mechanism between Israel and Syria. Fidan also said the integration of the YPG into Syria's national army must be completed so that all armed groups serve under a single governmental umbrella.
