First poll since the opposition split: AKP 32.5, Yeni Parti 19.4, CHP 11.8

The first published poll since this summer's opposition split gives Erdoğan's AKP 32.5 percent, the Yeni Parti founded in July 19.4 percent, and the CHP, back under Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu after the court ruling, 11.8 percent. The survey was carried out by ORC Research between 27 and 29 July among 1,920 respondents across 26 provinces. The figures track a realignment that happened without a vote being cast: when Özgür Özel and 90 other deputies left the CHP on 24 July, Atatürk's party fell from 135 seats to 44 and became parliament's fifth-largest group.
