Greece, EU and four allies call Turkey-Libya sea deal ‘null and void’

Greece's foreign minister, joined by Egypt, Cyprus, Bahrain, the UAE and the EU, said Libya's parliament ratifying its 2019 maritime deal with Turkey changes nothing. The six say the agreement violates the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, because Turkey and Libya have no adjacent or facing coastlines to delimit a shared zone, and that it ignores the rights of Greek islands.
