Turkish FM walks out as Israel's Herzog addresses Baku summit

Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and delegations from more than ten countries left the hall on 15 October as Israeli President Isaac Herzog took the floor at the CICA summit in Baku. In his own address, Fidan said Israel violates Palestinians' basic rights through systemic pressure and repeated Türkiye's call for an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
