Without a new government, left-bloc parties push their majority for a halt to teen deportations

The four parties that together hold a majority in parliament, the Social Democrats, the Left Party, the Centre Party and the Greens, summoned Migration Minister Johan Forssell and the Migration Agency to the Social Insurance Committee on Monday to push for a temporary halt to teenage deportations while a new law is drafted. The Greens' Rasmus Ling also wants transitional rules for the stricter citizenship law in force since June 6 to cover anyone who applied before that date, whether their case is still pending, withdrawn or rejected.
