Ankara rejects any legal effect from Greece's offshore renewables plan
Foreign ministry spokesperson Öncü Keçeli says the Special Spatial Framework for Renewable Energy Sources that Greece announced on 19 August, covering the Aegean, will carry no legal consequences for Türkiye. Ankara repeats that unilateral moves should be avoided in enclosed and semi-enclosed seas, and points back to the Athens Declaration on good-neighbourly relations.
