Åkesson aims for the prime minister's job in 2030, before the 13 September election

Sweden Democrats leader Jimmie Åkesson says he wants to aim for the prime minister's job in 2030 or later, and that the party stands behind Ulf Kristersson as the right bloc's candidate on 13 September in return for real influence and senior ministries, particularly migration and integration. A Verian poll on 19 August gives the government side 43.9 percent against the opposition's 53.9.
