Turkish aircraft took part in a NATO air defence exercise over Romania

Four aircraft from three Turkish air bases took part on 13 August in a NATO integrated air and missile defence exercise in Romanian airspace, according to Türkiye's defence ministry. They were two F-16s from Bandırma, one E-7T airborne early warning aircraft from Konya and one KC-135R refuelling tanker from Adana. The ministry described the exercise as the first time low-speed interception training had been carried out within this form of joint activity.
