The CHP moves to expel a lawmaker under investigation for sexual offences
Party spokesperson Müslim Sarı said on Friday that Ahmet Baran Yazgan had been referred to the disciplinary board with a request for expulsion, after footage circulated showing him being beaten inside a home. The Ankara chief prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault. Police records say Yazgan was beaten by three people at a birthday gathering in Edirne at around three in the morning on 13 August, after allegedly making sexually explicit remarks to a woman.
