Swedish Foreign Ministry summons Russia's chargé d'affaires over attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine

The Foreign Ministry summoned Russia's chargé d'affaires in Stockholm on August 3 to protest Russia's extensive attacks directed at civilians and civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. The large-scale strike on Kyiv overnight into August 1 also damaged Lithuania's embassy in the city, and attacks on July 24 damaged Latvia's honorary consulate in Sloviansk. At the meeting Sweden condemned Russia's aggression against Ukraine and its recent violations of allies' airspace, and stressed Russia's obligation to comply with international humanitarian law.
