Drone strike on a traditional court in North Darfur kills 35

At least 35 people were killed when Sudanese army drones struck a traditional court in the village of Garra al-Zawaya in North Darfur on Sunday, according to the Emergency Lawyers group, which documents abuses by both sides in the civil war. Civilians had gathered for hearings on local cases and disputes; a witness told AFP that four tribal leaders and two RSF commanders were among the dead. The village is held by the Rapid Support Forces, and the United Nations counted more than 1,000 civilians killed in drone strikes in the first five months of this year alone.
