Andersson and Kristersson launch their election tours with 41 days to go

Social Democrat leader Magdalena Andersson and Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson launched their election bus tours on the same Monday, 41 days before the vote, with Andersson tying her campaign to a world she called more dangerous and unpredictable than it has been in a long time. Her three promises are a safer Sweden with stronger military and civil defence, more police and a Swedish mafia law; a richer Sweden with higher child benefits, the removal of the first unpaid day of sick leave and better pensions; and a more cohesive Sweden built on learning Swedish. Kristersson played down the opposition's lead in the polls, saying support for the right-wing bloc will grow once voters see what the two sides stand for.
