Guterres: fast-tracking West Bank outposts is a flagrant violation of international law

The UN Secretary-General said on Monday he was deeply concerned by Israel's decision to accelerate the legalisation of farm outposts in the West Bank and to establish new ones, repeating that all settlements have no legal validity and are a flagrant violation of international law. The UN humanitarian affairs office OCHA says at least eight Palestinians, one of them a child, and two Israelis have been killed since Thursday, and that at least ten Palestinian families have been displaced. Since January OCHA has recorded more than 1,330 incidents involving Israeli settlers that caused casualties or property damage, and this year 77 Palestinians, including 18 children, have been killed by Israeli forces or settlers while three Israelis have been killed by Palestinians.
