Sweden sends Patriot troops to Poland as sabotage risk rises

Around 100 Swedish soldiers from the Halmstad air defence regiment will deploy a Patriot air-defence system to Rzeszów in eastern Poland from late November, under Operation ANP 27, to protect a logistics hub that channels personnel and supplies to Ukraine. Polish authorities have raised their alert level over the risk of Russian sabotage near the border, and the Swedish contingent says it is stepping up surveillance and personnel security in response.
