Borsa Istanbul's chief executive detained over bribery allegations

Istanbul prosecutors detained Korkmaz Enes Ergun, head of Turkey's stock exchange since 2021, on bribery and organised-crime membership allegations tied to a widening capital markets investigation. The probe has produced 26 detentions in October and follows a fund crisis that hit more than 455,000 investors in September.
