Stubb and Støre's call to Putin splits the Nordics, Kristersson cool on the initiative

Finland's president Alexander Stubb and Norway's prime minister Jonas Gahr Støre held a 90-minute call with Putin on October 27, on their own initiative, to push for Ukraine peace talks, drawing criticism from Denmark and Sweden. Prime Minister Kristersson said 'everyone wants peace except Putin' and had 'pretty low expectations' for the initiative, while Denmark's Frederiksen called it uncoordinated and urged Europeans to stand together.
