Russia hits central Kyiv with cluster-warhead missiles, killing at least two

Russian forces fired three Iskander-M missiles carrying cluster warheads at central Kyiv overnight Wednesday into Thursday, part of a barrage of 21 ballistic missiles and 210 drones that killed at least two people and wounded 34, including five children, and damaged the historic Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra monastery. President Zelensky said "the choice of weapon was deliberate," and the strike came hours after US envoy Steve Witkoff met Vladimir Putin in St Petersburg.
