Istanbul's Theatre Festival opens with a drama about the labour behind a royal wedding dress
The 30th Istanbul Theatre Festival opens on 22 October at Zorlu PSM with "Lacrima", a production by French director Caroline Guiela Nguyen that follows a wedding dress made for a British princess across lace workshops in France and embroidery studios in Mumbai. The nearly three-hour play, performed with no interval, is the festival's international opening production; the programme continues with other productions through early December.
