Türkiye arrests 85 in investigation into $20 billion fund scheme
Istanbul prosecutors have arrested 85 people and taken legal action against 207 in total, and ordered more than 130 investment funds holding some $20 billion liquidated, over a scheme that drew in roughly 500,000 investors on suspicion of market manipulation. Justice Minister Akın Gürlek said five suspects, including a former AK Party deputy chair, have already returned profits deemed "unjust gains."
