Election fraud probes widen to Stockholm area

Stockholm police confirmed on Friday, 25 September, five active preliminary investigations into suspected election fraud in Stockholm city, Sigtuna and Nacka, two of them involving alleged vote-buying, on top of the already-known Dalarna probe into elected Left Party MP Mohamed Abdukardir Ali. The investigations come days before parliament convenes on 28 September and add fresh doubt over the left bloc's razor-thin one-seat majority.
