Turkish parliament to set up watchdog panel for Kurdish peace process

Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş said parliament will quickly form a monitoring commission when the new legislative year opens on 1 October, to oversee the "terror-free Türkiye" process. The panel follows an August law under which the PKK's promised full disarmament would postpone legal proceedings against some of its members for five to ten years.
