Turkish pilots begin Eurofighter Typhoon flight training in Britain

Turkish air force pilots started the practical flying phase of Eurofighter Typhoon training in the UK on September 7, after weeks of classroom instruction. The course runs eight months, followed by three months of training for Turkish instructors. It follows an October 2025 deal for 20 Typhoons worth up to £8 billion, with Türkiye separately planning to acquire 24 more from Oman and Qatar.
