Turkish inflation eases to 31.5% in August, third straight month of cooling
Annual consumer price growth in Türkiye slowed to 31.5% in August from 31.8% in July, statistics agency TÜİK said, the third consecutive monthly easing and a sign the central bank's 37% policy rate is starting to bite. The cooling keeps alive market expectations that the central bank could resume interest rate cuts later this year.
