Swedish military seeks to seize property reportedly linked to Russian owner near naval base

The Swedish Armed Forces have asked the government to expropriate a residential property near the Muskö naval base in the Stockholm archipelago, reportedly linked to Russian businessman Stanislav Aleshchenko, who has ties to the Kremlin. The military calls the site the only location that would let it defend the base against drone threats. 'We are facing the most serious security situation since the end of the Second World War,' said Carl-Johan Edström, Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces.
