Two men held over planned assault on Sweden's justice minister
Police detained two men suspected of planning a serious assault at a campaign event for Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer in Gothenburg. One approached Strömmer to ask a question before officers intervened; both men were later held on suspicion of preparing aggravated assault. Strömmer said the intervention was calm and caused no disruption at the event, held three weeks before the 13 September general election.
