The market puts year-end inflation at 29.4 percent, a day after the central bank said 28

The central bank's August survey of market participants, run from 10 to 12 August with 68 respondents from the financial and real sectors, lifted the end-2026 inflation expectation from 29.21 to 29.43 percent. That is just under one and a half points above the 28 percent the bank moved its own forecast to on Thursday. In the same survey the respondents put the policy rate at 37 percent after the September meeting and 35.25 percent by year end, the dollar at 51.66 lira, and the current account deficit at 50.2 billion dollars for 2026.
