Lithuania warns Russia may stage a false-flag attack using Ukrainian drones

Defence Minister Robertas Kaunas told a press briefing that Moscow could reassemble downed Ukrainian drone parts into working devices and use them against critical infrastructure in the Baltics, discrediting Kyiv and weakening NATO's backing for Ukraine. He called it the most realistic current scenario while stressing there is no indication an operation is imminent. Lithuania has stepped up security around the Klaipėda LNG terminal, the LitPol Link interconnector with Poland and the Kruonis pumped-storage plant. The warning follows Lithuanian reports that military intelligence sees such a risk across the region.
