Israeli raid on Qalandiya in the occupied West Bank injures 51 Palestinians

The Jerusalem Governorate told Al Jazeera at least 51 Palestinians were injured in what it described as a large-scale raid on the Qalandiya refugee camp. Israeli forces demolished commercial shops near the checkpoint on Thursday, imposed a curfew on the neighbouring town of Kafr Aqab and sealed roads to Jerusalem. The Palestine Red Crescent Society said 35 people were hospitalised after severe beatings and that its crews had been blocked from reaching the wounded since late on Wednesday night. Rights groups have recorded more than 11,000 Israeli military and settler attacks across the West Bank in the first half of this year.
